Hole #1 Par 4 455 426 406 360 346 293

You'll know exactly how the Backbreaker course got its name by the time you step up for your approach on the par 4 first hole. The green sits steeply above the fairway and is guarded in front by a deep bunker. Hills behind the green will help a shot hit too long.

Hole #2 Par 3 206 159 143 132 109 92

The second hole is a short par 3 that plays slightly downhill. A large bunker protects the front and a hidden pot bunker guards the back. Try to knock it close for a chance at a rare birdie on the Backbreaker course.

Hole #3 Par 4 455 425 399 350 307 294

The design of the par 4 third hole fits the terrain of the land perfectly. The elevated tees are nestled around a grassland area and the fairway turns through a valley before rising to the green. The green slopes sharply from back to front and has severe drop-offs on every side.

Hole #4 Par 4 499 458 400 355 343 292

The fourth hole is one of the toughest holes on the Backbreaker course. A long, straight par 4, the fourth plays longer than the yardage because of the extremely elevated green. A deep bunker guards the front of the green, and anything short will leave a tough chip.

Hole #5 Par 3 231 194 167 129 120 99

A seemingly innocent hole from the tee, the par 3 fifth can wreak havoc on your score if you do not hit the green. A tee shot that misses left will find either a large bunker or will run downhill away from the green.

Hole #6 Par 4 401 371 346 346 320 212

Choose a club that will leave a comfortable yardage in with your tee shot. The approach must carry a pond to a wide but not very deep green. A pot bunker sits in the front and any shot long will leave a tough chip from the bottom of a hill or out of a bunker.

Hole #7 Par 5 623 578 496 471 451 369

Be wary of the water hazards to the left side of the fairway. Long hitters can drive past the fairway bunker off the tee, but probably cannot reach this green in two. If you need to play safe, miss to the right of the green with your approach for a fairly easy chip.

Hole #8 Par 4 445 399 342 342 313 287

The par 4 eighth hole is uphill all the way. A well-placed drive near the 150-yard stake will leave the easiest approach you can have to an elevated green protected in front by a bunker. Any shot over the green is trouble.

Hole #9 Par 5 534 534 499 482 431 431

This downhill finishing hole allows long hitters the chance to reach the green in two. The ninth has no fairway bunkers so let it rip off the tee. A portion of the lake guards the entrance to the green.
