Hole #1 Par 4 409 394 372 347 309

The Highlands course begins with a slight dogleg-right par-4. Play your tee shot left of the fairway bunker. The approach shot plays longer than the actual yardage, so choose your club wisely.

Hole #2 Par 4 403 372 330 303 303

The par-4 second hole is a short, dogleg-right par-4. Position your tee shot to the left side of the fairway to have a view of the green. The second shot plays half a club more than the yardage, and you will need to avoid the pot bunkers surrounding the small green.

Hole #3 Par 5 550 518 452 445 377

The fairway on the par-5 third hole is split by a lake. Long hitters can try to reach the fairway on the right with their tee shot. Those playing the par-5 as a three-shot hole need to play to the right fairway with the second shot to leave the best angle for the approach.

Hole #4 Par 3 215 183 165 128 94

Take one club less than the yardage suggests on the downhill, par-3 fourth hole. You need to be accurate with your tee shot because it is very difficult to get up-and-down to save par all around the green, especially from the left.

Hole #5 Par 4 412 378 334 285 273

Play your tee shot left of center of the fairway on the par-4 fifth hole. A creek crosses the fairway around 100 yards in front of the green, and an old barn sits on the right side of the hole. The approach to the elevated green plays longer than the yardage.

Hole #6 Par 4 435 406 381 354 336

Hole No. 6 is a downhill, dogleg-left par-4. You need to hit the fairway with your tee shot because water comes into play short and right of the green. A large bunker will catch any approach played too safe.

Hole #7 Par 4 453 424 387 341 318

Accuracy is the key on the dogleg-left par-4 seventh hole. Long hitters can carry the bunker on the left to leave an approach shot to a green protected by water to the left and a large bunker on the right.

Hole #8 Par 3 238 190 158 141 94

It is better to miss long rather than short on the par-3 eighth hole. Three deep pot bunkers guard the front of this elevated green. The green is large, but heavily undulated, and will require two good putts to escape with par.

Hole #9 Par 5 526 511 444 416 361

Swing away on the tee of the par-5 ninth hole. The fairway climbs steeply uphill to the green, making the hole play much longer than the listed yardage. Favor the right side of the green with your approach because the green slopes severely from right to left.

Hole #10 Par 4 461 434 371 337 257

The safest tee shot on the downhill par-4 tenth hole is to play short of the fairway bunker on the left. The approach shot will play one club more than the yardage suggests, and water and sand guard the front of the green.

Hole #11 Par 3 206 177 154 138 108

The par-3 eleventh hole is all carry over water, but be careful not to hit your tee shot too long. Three bunkers surround the green, and you do not want to play from the sand back towards the water. It is smart to aim for the center of the green and not for the flag.

Hole #12 Par 4 435 347 308 300 265

Play to the left side of the split fairway from the tee on the par-4 twelfth hole. Pay attention to the pin location before hitting your approach. The narrow, multi-tiered green is over 60 yards deep.

Hole #13 Par 4 415 391 336 320 319

Hole No. 13 is a tough, dogleg-left par-4. Position your tee shot in the right center of the fairway. The second shot is uphill to an elevated green with a massive bunker in front.

Hole #14 Par 4 414 382 342 307 298

The par-4 fourteenth hole is a tight driving hole. Avoid the bunkers on both sides of the fairway. The green is very shallow and a creek crosses in front with three bunkers behind. Proper club selection with the approach is critical.

Hole #15 Par 5 539 520 470 431 390

Water lies left of the fairway off the tee on the par-5 fifteenth hole and a bunker pinches in the right side to make for a narrow landing area. Layup left on the second shot away from more water and sand. Two deep bunkers guard the front of the green.

Hole #16 Par 3 259 211 161 132 101

At over 250 yards from the tips and no fairway in sight, the tee shot on the par-3 sixteenth is all carry over water. The best play is to aim your tee shot to the left side of the green.

Hole #17 Par 5 621 570 541 480 475

The fairway bunker on the par-5 seventeenth hole should be easily carried off the tee. Be careful not to hit your second shot too far right as water comes into play. More water comes into play close to the green, and a pin cut on the right side of the green can be very difficult.

Hole #18 Par 4 437 398 364 330 304

The closing hole on the Highlands is a par-4 that doglegs to the right around a large fairway bunker. The approach is a demanding shot to an undulating green guarded by a bunker on the left side.
