Hole #1 Par 5 611 567 540 512 400 390

The opening hole of the Fighting Joe is a long par-5 and your tee shot should be played to the center-left portion of the fairway. Lay up your second shot short of the fairway bunker on the left for the best angle into a green protected by sand and water.

Hole #2 Par 4 466 413 388 370 347 302

Hole No. 2 is a challenging par-4 with trouble waiting along both sides. Your tee shot must find the fairway. The approach shot requires pinpoint distance and accuracy to find the green between the bunker short and water long.

Hole #3 Par 4 478 416 396 373 324 316

If your tee shot misses the fairway on this straightforward par-4 and heads into the fescue rough, you will be in big trouble. Check the pin position when picking a yardage for your approach to this deep green surrounded by bunkers.

Hole #4 Par 4 426 379 360 326 313 279

Trouble is everywhere on the par-4 fourth hole. The water left and the bunker right make for a daunting tee shot. Hit enough club from the tee to reach the landing area between the 150 and 100-yard markers. The approach shot must be accurate to avoid the water and greenside bunker.

Hole #5 Par 3 236 193 175 160 137 133

Hole No. 5 is a par-3 that plays slightly downhill. Double-check the yardage and choose your club carefully in order to avoid the bunkers in front of the green and the water hazard which surrounds it on three sides.

Hole #6 Par 4 497 468 432 408 330 325

Hole No. 6 has a semi-blind tee shot that you need to aim to the left center of the fairway. Steer clear of the bunker on the right side. The fairway slopes downhill at the 150-yard marker. Bunkers short left and right and trees on the left guard the green.

Hole #7 Par 5 607 576 537 524 467 408

The par-5 seventh hole has a lot of character. The fairway bends to the left at a sharp angle roughly 300 yards from the green. Bunkers are scattered throughout the layup area. On your approach to the elevated green, proper club selection is the key to avoiding the bunkers fronting the putting surface.

Hole #8 Par 4 477 434 406 375 332 283

The bunker in the middle of the fairway on Hole No. 8 makes tee shots on this par-4 difficult as you must decide whether to go left, right or over it. On the approach, be sure of the yardage and to avoid the bunkers short and left and the steep slope right and over the elevated green.

Hole #9 Par 3 236 190 157 145 118 101

The par-3 ninth hole features an island green. Correct yardage and club selection are required for you to pass this test. The green is fairly large so a small mistake will not cost you a stroke. Going over the green is clearly preferable to coming up short of it.

Hole #10 Par 4 489 468 428 412 357 256

A solid drive between the bunkers and water to the center of the fairway is required on the tough par-4 tenth hole. Be sure to take enough club on the uphill approach shot and be very careful to avoid the bunker when firing at a pin on the right side of the green.

Hole #11 Par 4 413 389 345 332 310 255

The eleventh hole is a risk/reward par-4 and long hitters can carry the bunker on the left to set up a short approach. The safe play is to lay up short of the fairway bunker. Approach shots to the narrow green must be accurate.

Hole #12 Par 5 716 622 581 505 450 441

At 716 yards from the Black tees, Hole No. 12 is the longest hole on the entire Trail! A good drive on this monster par-5 will end up even with the fairway bunker. Try to get your second shot to the 150-yard marker. The third shot plays a few yards longer than the posted yardage, and you need to avoid the trouble short of the green.

Hole #13 Par 3 223 195 184 163 153 136

Get a correct yardage and trust your club choice on the beautiful par-3 thirteenth hole. A tee shot of pin-point accuracy is needed to avoid the trouble that surrounds the semi-island green. Check the pin location and do not be tempted to aim at the pin if it is cut on the right side of the putting surface.

Hole #14 Par 4 476 417 403 369 319 244

A well-placed drive that avoids the bunkers on the left can lead to a good score on the par-4 fourteenth hole. The very deep, narrow green slops from back to front and is framed by trouble short and right.

Hole #15 Par 4 466 397 379 353 326 260

On the par-4 fifteenth hole, a good drive will stay along the left side of the fairway, away from the bunker. Check the yardage and try to stay short of the 100-yard marker and away from the water on the right side. A bunker to the left and water to the right protect the green.

Hole #16 Par 4 483 437 423 390 370 304

Hole No. 16 is a birdie-able par-4 with minimal trouble. If you avoid the fairway bunker on the left, your tee shot should be fine. On the approach shot, pick a yardage and hit it close. The slightly elevated green is guarded by one lone bunker that only comes into play with shots left short.

Hole #17 Par 5 592 537 483 440 416 377

Hole No. 17 is arguably the best par-5 on the Fighting Joe. After a good, straight tee shot you must choose whether to lay up or go for the green. If you do lay up, aim for the 150-yard marker. When going for the green, make sure to hit enough club to avoid the pond fronting the green.

Hole #18 Par 3 200 158 151 137 126 101

Welcome to one of the most scenic par-3s on the entire Trail. Enjoy the beautiful views before you hit your tee shot. The Tennessee River frames the right side of the hole and trouble lurks short of the green so you must get the correct yardage. Long is a good place to miss.
