Two of the major youth golf programs in the Southeast have combined forces to create one of the largest programs for up and coming golfers in the U.S.

The new tour is under the umbrella of the Southeastern Junior Golf Tour (SJGT) and has more than 1,500 junior members. Based in Auburn, Ala., SJGT events are held in Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee and Alabama. Some sites include: Sea Island GC, Fallen Oak GC, Hawks Ridge GC, Gaylord Springs GC and TPC Sawgrass.

In 2011, nine of these events will be held on Alabama’s Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail.
